ITM Holding SASU (ITM) has entered into a Memorandum of Cooperation (MOC) with Centum Investment Company PLC, a prominent East African investment firm. This collaboration is set to enable ITM’s entry into Kenya’s expanding Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) market, while supporting Centum’s growth strategy in Francophone Africa. The partnership aims to leverage the strengths of both companies to spur innovation and enhance their regional impact.
As a pan-African conglomerate operating in 18 countries and employing over 15,000 people, ITM has significant experience across various sectors, including mining, logistics, financial services, and human resources. The alliance with Centum is designed to capitalize on these competencies, driving mutual growth and expanding influence across the African continent.
A major highlight of the partnership is the relocation of ITM’s HR operations to Centum’s TRIFIC Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Nairobi. In this new role, ITM will deliver comprehensive human resource services to businesses within the SEZ, including employee management, recruitment, training, and ensuring compliance with Kenyan labor laws.
ITM also plans to implement several key initiatives, such as specialized language and industry training programs to equip professionals in the SEZ for roles in BPO, Global Business Services (GBS), and other high-growth industries. Moreover, ITM will provide a diverse pool of professionals fluent in multiple languages—French, Portuguese, German, and English—from various regions of Africa.
